About Steve Sullivan

Steve Sullivan from Perfect Time Music

Music has been a part of Steve Sullivan’s life from an early age.  He started playing the trombone back in the 4th grade and with a wonderfully strong musical background and training remained active in all the instrumental music opportunities offered from Grades 4-12 in the Wayne Public Schools.  While in college, Steve began working with music students at Wayne Hills High School in Wayne New Jersey, first as a marching band technician, then as a music technician.  He has worked with the organization for over 30 years, serving in many different roles within the school’s music and band program. The Wayne Hills High School Bands have received numerous best music and marching awards during his tenure with the organization. Steve has taught band, strings, and general music in both public and private schools throughout Northern and Central New Jersey over the years and continues to teach today.  Besides teaching full-time, and now co-running Perfect Time Music with his brother Glenn, he co-directs the North Jersey Youth Honors Band, which he founded over 25 years ago.  Furthermore, he is a very active trombone player in Northern New Jersey performing with such groups as the Hanover Wind Symphony, Montclair Community Band, Metropolitan Brass Band, the Paul Miller Big Band, and his Church Worship team.  Steve is also an active member of Bethany Church, where he currently serves as the Head of Ushering.
